“Calm Down” by Rema breaks a record on YouTube. When Rema’s debut album, “Raves & Roses,” dropped in February 2022, the accompanying music video instantly went viral, thanks in large part to the inclusion of Selena Gomez in the remake.
The music video was the fastest Afrobeats song to surpass 100 million views, doing it in under three months. Selena Gomez’s remix increased its success even further, which helped the song peak at No. 8 on the UK Singles Chart and Also no. 35 on the Hot 100 100.
The newest accolade for the video is that it has been recognized as the most-viewed Nigerian music clip on YouTube by music chart company TurnTable Charts as of January 29, 2023.
