However, Apapa, the country’s cash cow due to a bustling port, has been sealed down with terrible congestion throughout the years.
Locals praised Sanwo-Olu for making the neighborhood safe and orderly again.
At the Apapa Club Night with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Council Chairman Idowu Senbanjo expressed gratitude to the governor for revitalizing the area.
She said that the people would vote him back into office because of his generosity.
Children may now expect to get home from school on time, while drivers will have an easier time navigating Apapa. Now that all the delivery motorcycles have left, the roads are calmer, and the trailers no longer park randomly.
Senbanjo promised more beautiful things for Apapa while campaigning for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu.
She said that an agreement had been reached between her government and the Lagos State Water Corporation to see public water service resume in the coming days.
The city’s chairman emphasized the ambition to develop its infrastructure and turn it into a cutting-edge port city.
According to her, the council has approved a bus station at Marine bridge to improve accessibility, and it is working with the NPA and other federal departments to provide the necessary infrastructure.
Fatai Ayoola, chairman of the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, said Lagos State could not afford to overlook Apapa.
There is a massive plan to develop and revitalize the interior areas of the council to satisfy the mega masterplan of the state, and work is underway to provide Apapa mass coloration.
Apapa is a priority for the administration, and he promised “complete improvement.”

Chiedizie Udeze, chairman of Apapa Club, stated his administration had begun work on a strategy to restore the club’s former glory.
Udeze claimed that to achieve its goals, and the club will collaborate with corporations and famous people.
